Bryant and Dallas cornerback Tyler Patmon had to be separated in a heated exchange that lasted several minutes before quarterback Tony Romo finally stepped in and calmed his star receiver late in Sunday's practice at training camp. Bryant, who has a history of sideline antics that include screaming at coaches and teammates, went after Patmon several times after it appeared the incident during 11-on-11 drills was over.

Analysis: When practice ended a few minutes later, coach Jason Garrett spoke briefly to Bryant, who then walked over to Patmon and hugged him while fans nearby cheered after earlier yelling at Bryant to calm down. Bryant, who recently signed a five-year, $70 million contract, said he "got a little overheated."

Ravens coach John Harbaugh is concerned about the severity of the biceps injury to safety Matt Elam.

Analysis: Elam, a third-year safety, injured the biceps during practice on Saturday reaching for a receiver who had run by him. He had an MRI Sunday. If the biceps are torn, this could possibly be a season-ending injury. "I haven't heard a final word, but it wasn't very optimistic yesterday talking to the doctors (about) his biceps," Harbaugh said. "I'm not real optimistic right now."

Johnson hurt his right knee during practice in Cincinnati on Sunday and was taken off the field on a cart. Doctors initially thought the injury wasn't serious, and the Bengals defensive end was sent for tests. The injury happened during the team's second practice of training camp.

Analysis: Johnson returned to the Bengals after spending one season with the Buccaneers. The Bengals are hoping he revives a line that didn't get much pressure on the quarterback last season. Cincinnati finished last in the league in sacks.

Wilkerson left practice Sunday with a tweaked hamstring, an injury coach Todd Bowles didn't believe is serious.

Analysis: Wilkerson, a key playmaker in Bowles' defense, walked off the field at training camp about halfway through practice and headed straight to the locker room. He didn't appear to be walking gingerly or with a limp.

Bradford was full-go on the first day of training camp.

Analysis: Bradford took snaps, fired passes and participated in all the quarterback drills with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He didn't even wear a clunky knee brace on his twice-surgically repaired left knee.

The Seattle Seahawks have added depth to their secondary by acquiring Seisay from Detroit for an undisclosed 2016 draft pick.

Analysis: Seisay appeared in 13 games last season for Detroit as a rookie, and played in the Lions' playoff loss to Dallas. Seisay was signed by the Lions as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Nebraska.

The Indianapolis Colts have put 2013 NFL sacks leader Robert Mathis and Thomas on the physically unable to perform list.

Analysis: Thomas missed all of last season after tearing his right quadriceps during training camp - the same injury that kept him out of all but two games in 2013.

The Seattle Seahawks have released veteran defensive tackle Tony McDaniel to save salary cap space after signing quarterback Russell Wilson and linebacker Bobby Wagner to contract extensions.

Analysis: Seattle made the move with McDaniel on Sunday and it will save the club between $2.5 and $3 million against the salary cap. McDaniel was set to make $2.5 million in base salary.

The Seattle Seahawks and Bobby Wagner have finalized a four-year contract extension that keeps the All-Pro middle linebacker with the club after this season. Team owner Paul Allen confirmed Wagner's extension in a tweet late Saturday night. first reported the deal and that it's worth $43 million which would make Wagner the highest-paid middle linebacker in football.

Analysis: Wagner was an All-Pro last season and finished second on the team with 104 tackles after missing five games with a painful toe injury. Wagner has been Seattle's starting middle linebacker since being selected in the second round of the 2012 draft.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have acquired cornerback Brandon Boykin from the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick in the 2016 draft. The team announced the trade Saturday night.

Analysis: Boykin is entering his fourth NFL season after being selected by the Eagles in the fourth round (123rd overall) of the 2012 draft from Georgia. He has appeared in 48 regular-season games with six starts. He has seven interceptions and 32 pass breakups.

On the opening day of his first NFL training camp, former Australian rugby league star Jarryd Hayne reiterated how sorry he is for offensive comments last month about Jews that drew criticism from the Anti-Defamation League and others.

Analysis: Hayne and the San Francisco 49ers were gearing up for a night practice Saturday at Levi's Stadium, their first under new coach Jim Tomsula. The rookie running back and kick returner is trying to win a spot on San Francisco's 53-man roster out of camp in what is sure to be a daunting transition to the pace and hard-hitting nature of the NFL.

Winn has been carted off the practice field with a potentially serious injury to his right knee.

Analysis: Winn got hurt during an inside running drill Saturday as the Browns practice in full pads for the first time in training camp. Coach Mike Pettine says the team will know more about the extent of Winn's injury following an MRI and X-rays.

The New York Jets activated guard Willie Colon from the active/physically unable to perform list, and he participated in the team's first padded practice Saturday.

Analysis: Colon was placed on the active/PUP list Wednesday when players reported for camp because of pain in his left knee. Both Colon and coach Todd Bowles were optimistic Friday that he would be activated soon, with the guard saying that he felt good and it would be "time to roll" when he was activated.

Williams tore his left Achilles during a punt return drill at training camp Saturday and will miss the season.

Analysis: The oft-injured Williams missed much of the Broncos' offseason workouts with sore hamstrings. He was out of the league last year after playing in all four of Kansas City's preseason games.

New York Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan was supportive of Sheldon Richardson, but noncommittal on the defensive lineman's long-term future with the team.

Analysis: Maccagnan addressed reporters Saturday for the first time since Richardson was suspended four games by the NFL for marijuana use in early July and his arrest less than two weeks later in Missouri after high-speed road racing.

Hill was carted off the field Saturday with a right leg injury. Hill attempted to make a catch across the middle during an afternoon practice in intense heat, but came down wrong on his leg and fell to the ground screaming in pain.

Analysis: Trainers taped Hill's knee before helping him on to a cart. Hill left the field with his head in his hands and a towel draped over his head.

Smith will miss the majority of training camp after fracturing his ribs Friday.

Analysis: Smith was hospitalized overnight as a precaution after getting hurt while making an impressive catch. Smith, a second-round draft pick out of Ohio State, caught a long pass from Geno Smith that deflected off the hands of cornerback Marcus Williams. While Smith was coming down, he was hit from behind by safety Jaiquawn Jarrett - and it appeared Smith's head and neck area took the brunt of it.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed Murphy on the active/non-football injury list with an ankle injury that will sideline him for the start of training camp.

Analysis: Coach Lovie Smith also said Friday that defensive tackle Akeem Spence has a back injury that will prevent him from practicing. Spence was placed on the active/physically unable to perform list.

The New York Giants have reached a contract agreement with Jones.

Analysis: Entering his ninth NFL season, Jones had 73 catches for 666 yards and six touchdowns with the Oakland Raiders in 2014.
7/31/2015 Shaquille Richardson, Ari, CB
The Arizona Cardinals have signed Richardson, who played collegiately at Arizona.

Analysis: Richardson was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers last year and spent most of the season on the practice squad before being released on Oct. 15. He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in February but was released on April 21.
