NFL Recent Player News
|11/24/2014||Cody Parkey, K|
|Parkey kicked field goals of 36, 26, 35, 40 and 50 yards Sunday against the Titans.
Analysis: His 49-yard attempt hit the post at the end of the first half to snap his successful streak at 17.
|11/24/2014||Delanie Walker, TE|
|Walker had 155 yards receiving for the Titans (2-9) on Sunday.
Analysis: Walker is really the only Titans skill player worth owning.
|11/24/2014||Zach Mettenberger, QB|
|Mettenberger had 345 yards passing and two TDs on Sunday.
Analysis: His team is bad and he hasn't won a game in four career starts, but Mettenberger has thrown seven TDs and five picks so he might have some late-season fantasy value in deeper leagues.
|11/24/2014||Mark Sanchez, QB|
|Sanchez threw for 307 yards and one touchdown in his third start for the injured Nick Foles on Sunday.
Analysis: He has 300 yards passing in three straight games, tying a team record.
|11/24/2014||LeSean McCoy, RB|
|McCoy ran for 130 yards and a TD on 21 carries Sunday.
Analysis: It's just the third time this season McCoy topped the 100-yard mark, making him somewhat of a fantasy disappointment.
|11/24/2014||Josh Huff, WR|
|Huff returned the opening kickoff 107 yards for a TD against the lowly Titans.
Analysis: His return was the longest in franchise history and the 10th non-offensive touchdown for Philadelphia this season.
|11/24/2014||Julio Jones, WR|
|Jones caught five passes for 68 yards and a TD on Sunday.
Analysis: This was the first time in eight games Jones found the end zone. He has just four TDs on the season.
|11/24/2014||Matt Ryan, QB|
|On Sunday, Ryan threw for 273 yards and a pair of TDs, but had had an interception and a fumble on back-to-back possessions in the first half.
Analysis: Ryan is no longer an obvious fantasy start.
|11/24/2014||Isaiah Crowell, RB|
|Crowell ran for 88 yards and two TDs on Sunday against the Falcons.
Analysis: Crowell, who averaged 7.3 yards per carry, is the back to own in Cleveland with Ben Tate gone.
|11/24/2014||Josh Gordon, WR|
|Gordon had eight receptions for 120 yards in his season debut Sunday.
Analysis: Gordon didn't waste any time getting involved, but he didn't find the end zone and is still catching passes from the inconsistent Brian Hoyer.
|11/24/2014||Brian Hoyer, QB|
|Hoyer threw for 322 yards but without a TD and three interceptions Sunday against the Falcons.
Analysis: Hoyer has thrown for at least 300 yards in three of the last four games, but has three TDs and six INTs during that span.
|11/24/2014||Ryan Mallett, QB|
|Mallett is being evaluated for an undisclosed injury and coach Bill O'Brien says they'll know more about his status later this week. O'Brien wouldn't say what his injury was amid reports that he has a torn pectoral muscle.
Analysis: Mallett was solid in his first career start in a win over Cleveland on Nov. 16, but he routinely overthrew receivers in a loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
|11/24/2014||Jeremy Hill, RB|
|Hill rushed for 84 yards and a TD on Sunday.
Analysis: Hill has averaged 112 yards and 5.5 per carry in the last four games.
|11/24/2014||A.J. Green, WR|
|Green caught a season-high 12 passes for 121 yards Sunday against Houston.
Analysis: Green had his second straight 100-yard game after missing three games with his toe injury and being limited in two others because of it. He said he felt pretty good last week, but that he was pain free on Sunday.
|11/24/2014||Andy Dalton, QB|
|Dalton threw for 233 yards and a touchdown and an interception in Sunday's win over Houston.
Analysis: Dalton has thrown four TDs and that one pick while guiding the Bengals to two straight victories.
|11/24/2014||Jay Cutler, QB|
|Cutler threw for a season-low 130 yards with a TD on Sunday.
Analysis: Though Cutler did little against the Bucs, he was not picked off for the first time in five games.
|11/24/2014||Matt Forte, RB|
|Forte ran for 89 yards and two TDs on Sunday.
Analysis: Forte increased his career total for rushing TDs to 40, passing Hall of Famer Gale Sayers for fourth on the franchise list. Forte, who had five receptions for 23 yards, also joined Hall of Famer Curtis Martin and LaDainian Tomlinson as the only three players with 1,400 or more yards from scrimmage in each of their first seven NFL seasons.
|11/24/2014||Josh McCown, QB|
|McCown threw for 341 yards and a touchdown for Tampa Bay on Sunday, but also was intercepted twice and lost a fumble.
Analysis: McCown has some fantasy value, especially in deeper league, because the Bucs can't run the ball. However, he still has issues with turnovers.
|11/24/2014||Louis Murphy Jr., WR|
|Murphy had six receptions for a season-high 113 yards Sunday.
Analysis: Before fantasy players get excited, keep in mind Murphy faced a terrible Bears defense, and that 54 of his yards came on one play that was a result of bad Chicago tackling.
|11/24/2014||Vincent Jackson, WR|
|Jackson caught five passes for 117 yards in Sunday's loss to Chicago.
Analysis: This was just the second time Jackson produced a 100-yard receiving day this season, but it could be a sign of good things to come for his fantasy owners.
