3/3/2015 Earl Okine, DE
The Indianapolis Colts have signed Okine. The 6-foot-6, 284-pound Florida alum last played in the Fall Experimental Football League, helping the Brooklyn Bolts go 4-0 in 2014. Okine also played last year in the Arena Football League, where he finished with 28 tackles and 5 1/2 sacks for the Orlando Predators. Before that, he spent part of the 2013 season with the CFL's Calgary Stampeders.

Analysis: Okine originally signed with Houston as an undrafted rookie in May 2013 but was waived the Texans three months later.
3/3/2015 Cary Williams, CB
The Philadelphia Eagles released Williams.

Analysis: Williams was signed by the Eagles as a free agent in 2013 and started all 32 games over the last two seasons. He had five interceptions.
3/2/2015 Bernard Pollard, S
The Titans have informed veteran Pollard he will be released, sources have told the Associated Press.

Analysis: Pollard, who turned 30 in December, spent the past two seasons with Tennessee. He suffered a season-ending Achilles injury that limited him to five games last season, and he was scheduled to make $3.1 million this season. He signed a two-year deal with the Titans after making a career-high 142 tackles for Tennessee in 2013. The veteran tweeted on Monday thanks to the fans and people he's met in Nashville. "(hash)31 is out," Pollard wrote.
3/2/2015 Stephen Gostkowski, K
The New England Patriots placed the franchise tag on Gostkowski on Monday.

Analysis: The team said in an unattributed statement that the move gives the sides more time to negotiate an agreement. If no deal is reached by July 15, the Patriots will pay Gostkowski $4.126 million in 2015.
3/2/2015 Victor Hampton, CB
The Baltimore Ravens waived Hampton after his weekend arrest in Charlotte on a charge of driving while impaired and speeding. Ravens spokesman Chad Steele said the team waived Hampton on Monday.

Analysis: North Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper John Burgin said Hampton was driving 100 mph in a 55-mph zone on Interstate 77 early Saturday. Hampton also was charged with reckless driving and having an open container of alcohol in his car.
3/2/2015 Jason Pierre-Paul, DE
The New York Giants placed the franchise tag on Pierre-Paul after the 26-year-old rebounded from two injury-plagued seasons.

Analysis: The Giants made the move Monday, guaranteeing that their first-round draft pick of 2010 will make at least $14.813 million next season unless the two sides reach an agreement on a long-term deal by July 15.
3/2/2015 Charles Clay, TE
Clay has been given a transition tag by the Miami Dolphins, meaning they can keep him by matching any offer he receives.

Analysis: The move Monday, which was unexpected, ensures Clay will make at least $7 million in 2015. He's a four-year starter who had 58 catches last season for 605 yards and three scores.
3/2/2015 Dez Bryant, WR
Bryant will get four more months to work on a long-term deal with the Cowboys and make $12.8 million next year after the team used its franchise tag on the star wide receiver.

Analysis: Bryant led the NFL with a club-record 16 touchdowns in the final year of a rookie contract that paid $11.8 million over five years.
3/2/2015 Demaryius Thomas, WR
The Denver Broncos have placed their franchise tag on Thomas, guaranteeing him roughly $12.8 million next season and buying them more time to work out a long-term deal.

Analysis: Thomas could always signal his displeasure with the move by waiting to sign the tender and skipping offseason workouts that begin the first week of April. If Thomas doesn't sign a long-term contract, the Broncos could use the franchise tag on him again next year.
3/2/2015 Cortland Finnegan, CB
Finnegan has been released by the Miami Dolphins after starting 12 games last season. His release Monday was the latest payroll purge by the Dolphins as they prepare for free agency beginning March 10. Finnegan was to make $5.45 million this season in the final year of a deal he signed in 2014.

Analysis: Finnegan, 31, was an All-Pro with Tennessee in 2008, but he was slowed by an ankle injury last year and said late in the season he might retire. The Dolphins want more youth on an aging defense that ranked 20th in points allowed.
3/2/2015 Jarrett Bush, CB
Police in California say they will not file charges against Bush in connection with a scrum outside a restaurant.

Analysis: Bush is due to become a free agent this offseason. He is one of the Packers' top special teams players.
3/2/2015 Ndamukong Suh, DT
Suh can test the open market when free agency begins March 10 after the Detroit Lions decided not to use the franchise tag on the star defensive tackle.

Analysis: The deadline for teams to designate franchise or transition players came and went Monday, and the Lions did not say anything publicly about their decision. There was only a report early in the day on the team's website saying the franchise tag's price of around $27 million for Suh proved too daunting.
3/2/2015 Justin Houston, LB
The Kansas City Chiefs have placed the franchise tag on Houston.

Analysis: The move was widely expected given the relatively little progress that Kansas City has made with Houston and his representatives on a long-term deal. The two sides still have until July 15 to negotiate a contract, and it is not certain whether Houston will immediately sign his tender. As an outside linebacker, the one-year deal would earn him about $13.1 million for the upcoming season.
2/27/2015 Robert Geathers, DE
The Bengals released Geathers - one of Cincinnati's most tenured players.

Analysis: Geathers played 11 seasons with Cincinnati, a span of 152 career games that ranks third in franchise history for a defensive lineman. Only Tim Krumrie (188) and Eddie Edwards (170) have played in more games for the Bengals. Geathers, a fourth-round pick in 2004, had 21 tackles, one sack and one interception last season.
2/27/2015 Todd Herremans, G
The Philadelphia Eagles have released Herremans.

Analysis: The 32-year-old Herremans started 132 games while playing his first 10 seasons in Philadelphia. The move announced Friday saves the Eagles $2.8 million under the 2015 salary cap. Coach Chip Kelly says Herremans was the "ultimate professional" and praised his toughness. Herremans tried to play through a torn biceps last year but had surgery and missed the last eight games.
2/27/2015 Zach Miller, TE
The Chicago Bears have agreed to a one-year contract extension through 2015 with Miller.

Analysis: He spent last season on injured reserve with a foot injury after signing with the Bears. Miller played in 33 games with Jacksonville from 2009-11, catching 45 passes for 470 yards and four touchdowns.
2/27/2015 Justin Blalock, G
Atlanta cut Blalock.

Analysis: Blalock, a second-round pick from Texas in 2007, started all 125 games in which he played, including 15 in 2014.
2/27/2015 Harry Douglas, WR
The Atlanta Falcons have released Douglas, who was third on the team with 51 catches in 2014

Analysis: Douglas, a third-round pick in 2008, had career-high totals of 85 receptions for 1,067 yards in 2013, when he started in 11 of 16 games. Douglas, a third-round draft pick from Louisville in 2008, usually was the No. 3 receiver behind Julio Jones and Roddy White.
2/27/2015 Chris Canty, DE
The Ravens have released Canty, who played two seasons in Baltimore.

Analysis: Canty was inactive for five games last season and had three games without a tackle. He finished with 33 tackles and a half-sack in 11 starts. The 32-year-old Canty intends to extend his 10-year NFL career. He says, "I am going to continue to prepare to play again and will explore other possibilities to play."
2/27/2015 Brian Hartline, WR
Hartline has been released by the Miami Dolphins in the wake of a severe drop-off in productivity last season.

Analysis: Hartline was due to make $5.9 million in 2015, the third year of a $30.8 million, five-year deal he signed in 2013. He started every game last season but had only 39 catches for 474 yards and two scores. He has spent his entire six-year career with Miami was a 1,000-yard receiver in 2012 and 2013.
